The 49th Night

The moon is just coming up over Hollywood Boulevard as I type this, an odd place for the moonrise. Perhaps to light Wynnie's way.
; )

Mama burned some sage and had some pink champagne, and she and Dad and I had a little bon voyage ceremony for Wynnie's spirit.

Please celebrate her life with us, and her new life as well,
as her soul finds a new form this day.

Light a candle, raise a glass or send a loving thought her way.

We love you, Wynnie.
Until we meet again...

Wynnie's 49th Day

Today is the 49th day since my beautiful
Wynnie Cat Princess Girl passed away.
In some Buddhist traditions, this is when the soul reincarnates.
We're celebrating our loving Wynnie Cat today

Anipal Academy Awards - I'm A Winner!

I won! I won! The first Annual Anipal Academy Awards - Video Category. Ok, so I won for "Best Props Department" - an odd award, granted, which should have gone to my Dad, I guess, since he was the Prop Master, but I'll take the credit - Hells yeah! Although I did enter it under "Best Action Sequence in Pants..."  =^..^= This is @MizzBassie presenting my my award via skype, since I was in Hawaii at a surfing championship.

And look at what a great ear scratcher the trophy makes. This sucker's big too! It looks great on Mom's computer desk. Thank you @SeattleP for shipping it all the way from Seattle!
Thank you @PepiSmartDog for accepting my Award in person (dog) lending a more personal touch to my skype acceptance, and for making up for my casual attire by your usual flamboyant flair!
I would like to thank the Academy for creating these Awards in the first place and for honoring me with one of my own in the second place. Dad, my Prop Master and operator of "Da Bird" (aforementioned 'prop'), Mom, my director & wardrobe stylist, who always catches my good side & makes sure my pants don't fall off, Cat Behaviorist @jacksongalaxy, for recommending "Da Bird," and Go-Cat for creating the awesome feathered cat toys that inspired my award winning performance, which coincidentally, is right here!
Congratulations to all the winners, nominees, staff and viewers for a great ceremony and party! And we exceeded our goal of raising $1000 for animal cancer research by the Colorado State University Foundation.
Everybody wins!

See you next year at the Anipal Academy Awards!!

✪ The Anipal Academy Awards ✪

The Anipal Academy Awards are today
and I have been nominated for an award!

I've just slipped out of the star studded pre-awards night #NipClub
to write a quick post, reminding everyone to tune in on
Saturday, July 17th, 2010, for what is sure to be a great show...

The Anipal Walk of Fame stars were unveiled this afternoon, including one for yours truly! All created by the talented @SeattleP.

Followed by the lovely @MaggieTKat honoring anipal authors & writers, including the entire staff of The Anipal Times.
Thank you, Maggie!

The Anipal Academy Awards producers:
@thenascarkitty and @autumndoggy.
Like the human Academy Awards, the ceremony will include a tribute to anipals who've gone over the Rainbow Bridge, hosted by @PepiSmartDog. Pepi is the obvious choice, as he is the official escort, guide and teacher of the secret handshake to anipals crossing over. He also writes the Rainbow Bridge page of The Anipal Times.

The Colorado State University Foundation is the official charity of The Anipal Academy Awards. They do great work in treating animal cancer.

Do try to make it to the Awards - I put you on the guest list, plus one!
