Anipal Photo Hunt #3: MY FAVORITE TOY

This is a Blog Hop and complete instructions are here.
Scroll down on my page linked above to the HOW TO JOIN THE ANIPAL PHOTO HUNT instructions, and the EXTRA CREDIT instructions to be eligible to win a prize!

This week's Anipal Photo Hunt theme is MY FAVORITE TOY.
Pretty simple, right?

I'm afraid I can't remember where I got this catnip tomato.
We think it's probably supposed to be an apple, but I call it my tomato

I think I won it at a #PawPawty, but whoever gave it to me,
THANK YOU!

I LOVE MY TOMATO!

Anipal Photo Hunt #2: PAWTRAITS

This is a Blog Hop and complete instructions are here.
(Scroll down to the HOW TO JOIN THE ANIPAL PHOTO HUNT post.)

This week's Anipal Photo Hunt theme is PAWTRAITS - that is to say, portraits featuring paws!

I have particularly large tiger paws, and you know what they say:
"Big paws, big..."
I don't remember what the other 'big' is?
Anyway, paws are the theme of this week's Anipal Photo Hunt.

This is one of the mama's favorite pics of me ever,
and it features my gigantic paw nicely.
You can see this was a few years ago because,
1. I'm on top of the Étagère, which I can't jump up on anymore, and
2. I'm not walleyed!  ; )

This is my special 'Look! I've got three front paws!' trick.
Good one, right??
Notice the well coiffed tail and paw fur...
This is the pic that Mom texted to Brutus the Dane to show him
what I was doing while Brutus was at Barkworld.
Yep. Sleepin' under the computer desk.
I know, I need a pawdicure...

HOW TO JOIN THE ANIPAL PHOTO HUNT

The Anipal Photo Hunt is a Blog Hop for anipals only - each week with a new theme. Our mission is to encourage anipals to blog more frequently, get to know one another better, make new friends, increase their followers... and just to have fun!

Note: This instruction page is linked here and on the right side of my blog. They are also on the Discussions Tab at http://www.facebook.com/anipalphotohunt.

Each Sunday, I post our theme for the week and a pic (or a few) related to that theme on my blog at http://www.cokiethecat.com. (cokiethecat.com and cokiethecat.blogspot.com are one and the same)

To join the Anipal Photo Hunt, go to http://wwww/cokiethecat.com to get the week's theme. Scroll down until you see ANIPAL PHOTO HUNT Week #__ (and the theme).

The 1st week's was YOU LOOKIN' AT ME?? Here are 2 examples of photos related to that theme:

If you don't have a blog, I'll help you make one! If you don't want a blog, but you're on Facebook, see the Facebook instructions below. If you don't want a blog and aren't on Facebook, well... you can't play. This is a Blog Hop!  ; )
  1.  Post anipal pic(s) on your blog, related to the week's theme. They can be Photoshopped but they must be yours. Indicate in your blog that the pics are part of The Anipal Photo Hunt and include a link back to http://www.cokiethecat.com so folks can see what you're talking about!
  2.  Go back to my ANIPAL PHOTO HUNT Week #__ blog post for the current week at http://www.cokiethecat.com.   At the bottom of the post, it will say This is a Blog Hop! __ entries so far... you're next! Then there will be a list of links of participants, and below that it will say You are next... Click here to enterWhat is a blog hop? Get the code here...

Now your link should be the last on the numbered list of participants. At this point you can skip straight to #6, or, if you want to know how to get enter HTML code into your blog post, so all the blog hoppers will be linked to your page, this is what you do:
  5.  Go back to Cokie's blog with the list of links of participants, and below where it says, "You are next... Click here to enter" and "What is a blog hop? Get the code here..." Click where it says, "Get the code." A window will open up with an HTML code in it. Highlight and copy that code. Go back to your blog and find the page to edit you latest post. Once you are in editing mode for your last post, at the top of the post it should give you the option to hit an HTML tab. Click on that tab. Anipal Photo Hunt #1: YOU LOOKIN' AT ME?? *FINAL*

The Founding Members of The Anipal Photo Hunt

Our prize winner for Week #1 was Riley @ri_guy (top left) - in that he was the first to figure out my complicated & confusing instructions and follow them completely! I promised they'll be more clear for this week's hunt! Week #2's theme will be posted later today.

Riley won a prize for his mama and will be our Cover Dog for the Anipal Photo Hunt #1 Album on The Anipal Photo Hunt Facebook page.

YOU LOOKIN' AT ME??

I'll have a badge up soon you that you can put on your blogs - and the Founders will get a *special* Founding Member badge. You know what they say... The early dog, cat, owl, capybara, bear and/or baboon gets the badge!

Althea

In addition, my ToyVoyager, Althea (remember her!?) traveled to Riley's house in Massachusetts with Riley's mama's prize!

One of Althea's missions is to meet 100 anipals, and Riley's family is going to show her their town, introduce her to some local anipals, and then send her on her merry way.

If you see her, say hello...  If you want to see her and you live anywhere near Massachusetts, let Riley's mom know. Maybe you could be her next stop!

BARKWORLD!!

So many anipals are at BARKWORLD EXPO in Atlanta this weekend! We wish we were there, too! Alas, Hollywood it turns out is really, really far away from Atlanta (who knew?) so we've had to stay at home and live vicariously through all our friends who are there: @BrutustheDane, @Mattiedog, @Trailerparkdogs, @Niqqi, @JamesbondtheDog, @Bunnyjeancook, @MaggieTKat, @Yoda_the_dog, @Boriskitty, @Hankthedoggy, @CosmoHavanese, @Frugaldougal, and a whole lot more!

Brutus the Dane gave an Anipal Times presentation, prefaced by this introductory video from ME!!

I caught Da Shibbering Cheetos set yesterday, which was wild and crazy, as usual - underwear flying... Even I lost my pants shakin' my booty - AGAIN.

Schmitty the Weather Dog and meteorologist Ron Trotta did a special Barkworld Weather Report, and I got a shout-out!

We all owe a big round of applauds to the organizers of Barkworld Expo, Denise Quashie @BarkworldExpo (aka@DQTweets) and her dog @FrankieElPerro! I, and The Anipal Times, very much appreciate her inviting us to be involved.

@FrankieElPerro

The Barkworld "Program" is inside the first ever PRINT edition of The Anipal Times!! Here's AT Publisher @Snick_the_Dog checking it out.

I have an editorial in the special BarkWorld Expo print edition of the AT that you can read here.

I can't wait to hear everyone's BarkWorld stories when they get home and see all the pics! Now I'm starting to get excited about a trip I am planning to take next month to Denver for Blog Paws West... See you there!

ANIPAL PHOTO HUNT! Revised Instructions

Inspired by Blog Carnivals, Wordless Wednesdays, The Saturday Pet Blog Hop and The Saturday PhotoHunt, which encourage us to blog more frequently, get to know one another better, make new friends, and increase our followers, I’m taking a stab at creating The Anipal Photo Hunt

I tried to set it up like the Saturday PhotoHunt, but that didn't work out so well for me. Instead, I've gone with the Linky Blog Hop plan...

Join the Anipal Photo Hunt in 3 easy steps:
(It looks more complicated than it is. It really is easy!)

1. Each Sunday I’ll post the theme for that week’s Anipal Photo Hunt on my blog at http://www.cokiethecat.com.

2. You (anipals) post a photo featuring YOU on your own blog, along with the subject: ANIPAL PHOTO HUNT: (and that week’s theme). They can be new photos, old photos, Photoshopped photos… as long as they’re your photos.

3. Come back to my website and click the "Click here to enter" link at the bottom of that week's Anipal Photo Hunt post. If you like, you can also enter the Linky code, and have all the participants' links on your post!

Come back throughout the week and visit all the links, have fun looking at all the pics, and make some new friends! Leave comments! Live the dream!

The first anipal to do ALL of the above AND to make that photo his (or her or its) Twitter or Facebook profile pic (& say so in their comment), will win a (small!) prize - at least for the first month.  ; )

So come back Sunday and let's see what happens!  =^..^=

Happy hunting!

Grandma's New Kitty

My Grandma (Oma) adopted a new kitty today. We think she's what they call a Black Tortoiseshell, or a Black Tortie (whoever 'they' are!)

She's one year old and very tiny and sweet.
Her face is all crazy with a black line down the middle of it!
She's very pretty in a very unusual way - to us, anyway.

She ate and disappeared this morning at Oma's house.
Oma didn't see her all day, but just a few minutes ago,
Oma noticed her sitting in her bedroom doorway.

Oma may have a kitty in her bed tonight!
Yay!

If you have a name suggestion, let us know.
Right now, Oma's favoring Ella, or Ella Mae.
