The Last Photograph

Mom didn't know when she took this photo that it would the the last she would take of our Wynnie kitten princess girl.

Since my last post we discovered that she had been a very sick kitty and had hidden it from us very well. Somehow, oddly, this is comforting to us. No one did anything wrong. It was her time.

We're all still sad and sometimes forget she's gone, but it's starting to get better.

Thank you for being so kind and supportive of me and my people during this difficult time.

This is a poem that we makes some kind of sense to us, and may help those left behind by the alarmingly high number of anipals who have crossed the rainbow bridge in the last month. I know we're not alone in our sadness.

A POEM FOR THE GRIEVING

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die...

It must be something about this time of year because it was this time last year that Mom lost one of her kitties that she had before me. She said the poem and the picture are wonderful. Wynnie has all the love you and your person gave her with her over the bridge.

Cokie we hope you are all doing ok - we know it is hard for all of you right now. We understand what you mean though, when you say that it is comforting to find out that she was sick and no one did anything wrong. Us kitties are great at hiding when we are sick. We have thought about you a lot the past couple days and have been sending you lots of purrs and prayers. You are right about this being a bad month for all our anipals, and we were so so sad about Wynnie but we also felt sad for all of you going through this with no warning. We are still sending over lots of comforting purrs and prayers and hugs too!

I am So Sorry to hear about yout Wynnie. This has happened with three of our cats - suddenly ill, to the vet, and all of the sudden being told we need to think about putting them to sleep - and going home with an empty carrier, Know it was different in your case, but it isn't ever easy. this site helped me.
