FLIPPIN' DA BIRD!

 Mom met Jackson Galaxy 'the Cat Whisperer' two weeks ago at the Pet Orphans Kitten House grand opening in Los Angeles.

Jackson was giving a presentation about .. well, cats, and he was really cool. 

One thing he suggested was that cats need to hunt, and that a good way for indoor cats to get some good huntin' type activity is with a toy called Da Bird. So Mom, being a good Mom, when straight to Petco and bought one.

My roommate Wynnie doesn't want anything to do with it, but I'm telling you right now. THIS THING IS THE SHIZNIT!!

Check out my video. Mom finally had to get the iphone out to video my amazing physical abilities after Dad had already been playing with me and Da Bird for ten minutes.

Mind you, or do I have to remind you, I turned 16 in March, have nerve damage from falling from an 80' palm tree, have no feeling in my tail, and wear a diaper (PANTS!) because there's a disconnect between when I think I have to go and when I actually do.  But we've been through all that in earlier posts. This video is a good demonstration of how I rock my pants though, for all those people who've been wondering just how that whole thing works...

New Moon in Taurus

I don't generally write about astrology or spirituality in this blog but I'm a very spiritual cat, and this happens to be the perfect time to bring it up. Tonight, Thursday, May 13, 2010, we have a new moon in Taurus beginning at 6:04pm PDT (9:04pm EDT). This is a good time to assess your finances, your job, your relationships - and how they're working for you. Srsly! If you've been miserable in your job or a relationship, or putting off thinking about where to put your money, this is the time to really think about it and come to a decision. Go outside and really connect with the moon. Take it in. Imagine an infinitesimal silver cord connecting you to the moon. Feel her energy fill you up with light and love, hope and protection. Then picture Taurus, the bull. If you know where his constellation is, try to find it. I picture the longhorn cattle Althea saw last month in Texas. Those are bulls!! They're strong and fierce and fearless, but they're content in their green pastures. They could just ram through the fence but they don't. They don't want more than they need to be comfortable. Think about that, too. And with a new moon in Taurus, this is the time to ASK FOR WHAT YOU WANT. Physically write it down. After 6:04pm PDT tonight, write down ten wishes. Make some of them about money, your job and/your relationship(s). But make them good - look at what you have already, how blessed you already are. Don't be greedy or ask for things that won't really make you happy. Then get ready for some changes - and be open to them when they come.

Cokie the Cat

Yes, Ladies, I'm Engaged.

You may have read from that saucy tart of a gossip columnist in the Anipal Times rumors about Jazzydacat & me getting engaged - here for instance, or possibly here.

To be honest,  I've been so busy working that I haven't had time to keep my own blog up to date.

I've finally taken the night off to take care of my personal life before it gets away from me, and I'm here now to officially announce 
(a month late) my engagement to that beautiful British feline, Miss Jazzy Lobster Saint...

Yes, friends, Jazzy and I are indeed engaged to be married!

This is the engagement ring collar charm I sent her,
in the lovely hands of, and on the finger of...my future mother-in-law.
(Is that a little weird??)

This is the card I sent, with my signature, asking her to marry me,
& the ring, which I gift wrapped, of course, in Victorian rose paper for my Victorian lady girl.
