The Beatles 50th Anniversary!

It was 50 years ago this month that the Beatles first recorded "Love Me Do" at Abbey Road Studios in London. That would make Mom... Hmm... Pretty old!

But she's happy she was able to experience the whole Beatles experience from beginning to ... well, to Pluto, Donald, Goofy and Mickey recreating the famous Abbey Road album cover this month.

Anyway, Mom, Dad, Me, my human cousin Spencer, everyone in our family and almost all of our friends still love The Beatles! I think if I were a Beatle, I'd have been John, because I'm sort of funny, snarky and sarcastic, like he was, and loveable. And I'm very opinionated and talk a lot. ; )  Although Mom has to admit that when she was a kid, George was her favorite Beatle.

Me, Marcus & Manny at BlogPaws!

I'm assuming if you're reading this, you know all about the BlogPaws pet conference June 21 - 23, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mom works for BlogPaws as their Special Projects Manager, so she's busy helping plan all kinds of cool stuff for the conference.  

We're only four weeks away and she is really excited to hook up with all her pet blogger pals, all the pet related brands and sponsors she made friends with at last year's conference, the veterinarians, the celebrities, and - of course - the pets! 


At last year's BlogPaws conference, in Tyson's Corner, Virginia, Mom made lots of animal friends. There was a paparazzi explosion when ferrets Marcus and Manny (@informedferret) got together with my stunt double in the exhibit hall. (That's my guy wearing my pants.)

Not the Pants Again...

We've been pretty busy around here lately, Mom doing all her film and social media work, Dad working on a movie and his scripts, and me making sure everyone was sufficiently alarmed about my ear bump to pay a reasonable amount attention to moi.

Now that things are settling down a little, and my ear seems to be OK, we're getting back to the important things - LIKE MY BLOG.

Most of you know that, aside from being handsome, gregarious and witty, I'm also a Special Needs pet.  You know... I wear pants. Yes, because they look cool, but also so I don't pee on the floor. Just sayin'.

Yep. Pants.

I know this is old hat to my pals, but I get new readers all the time, so every so often I have to 'splain the pants thing again.

This time, I'll let a recent article about me at VetStreet.com called The Things We Do for Love: "Our Cat Wears a Diaper" (written by Romeo the Cat's mom, Caroline Golan) tell the story.

Me and Mom have also revised my ABOUT ME page, with a lot more info... about, you know... me. Forgive my repeating myself, I am a 17 year old cat so I do that a lot, but I may be having a few new visitors this week, so please indulge me! One year ago, The Anipal Times was born. It's come a long way since then, and we're pretty proud of it as a real newspaper for the anipal community with high standards, wonderful all-volunteer staff, and generous advertisers who donate to our designated animal charities in lieu of ad fees.

This is my personal blog, but being the Editor in Chief of The Anipal Times, it does tend to pop up in my blog a lot!

Hope For Paws: Nala

I've decided take the opportunity to share Hope for Paws' latest videos on my Saturday Pet Blogger Hop posts from now on. Right now, the beautiful Nala is being fostered and is looking for a home. Watch her rescue here and tell me you don't want her. Please help us find someone who can give a forever home to this people/dog/cat/child loving Pit Bull girl, Nala.



Nala is an African name, meaning "successful." This was obviously a successful rescue. Let's see if we can help make it a successful adoption!
