Anipal Photo Hunt: What The Heck Is That Thing!??

Welcome to this week's Anipal Photo Hunt.

So this is the thing... Last month, Mom and Dad suddenly began denying me my greatest joy in life: Drinking out of the bathtub faucet. I used to drink from the dripping faucet while listening to my lovely bride @jazzydacat meowing at me through the drain hole. (She lives in London, and it's the best way for us to communicate.) Dad insists it's bad for the plumbing somehow and I was cut off cold turkey. It's not something I recommend to any cat Moms or Dads out there, FYI. It's been brutal.

To add insult to injury, Mom ordered some crazy contraption through the mail, and when it got her, she  put it in my room, filled it with water, (get this) PLUGGED IT IN, and it started making weird noises! Water started gurgling and then coming out of the middle of the thing in a stream down into the bowl.

They insist that it's mine - like that's a good thing. They had the nerve to call it a Gotcha Day present!  : /  Srsly. Who's idea was this?? It says China on it. Is this what they call Chinese water torture?

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, Mom took away my water bowl, so if I want to drink water, I HAVE to drink out of this whachamacallit - and try to avoid getting my ears wet! What the duck?? It has this stupid stream of water that I have to twist my neck around to avoid. I have a sneaking suspicion they think that this is in some way a replacement for water streaming out of the bathtub faucet. What part of "that thing is not a bathtub faucet" do they not get??

It's been more than a week now, and they continue to expect me to drink out of this gizmo. Hopefully, they'll get tired of it and throw it away, and let me back into the tub.

I'm considering starting a petition.

Anipal Photo Hunt #10: How Annoying!

So there I am, minding my own business, in the dark, secret recess of my hidey castle, when suddenly, unexpectedly, out of no freakin' where... FLASH!!!
Do your human do this to you, too?? What the frickin' frack is that all about anyway?? Why do they find creeping up on us in the dark only to flash a bright light in our furry faces so compelling? I can't see anything but blurry blue and red spots for like five minutes afterward. Is that the desired effect? They want me to see spots? Srsly.

HOW ANNOYING!

What ticks you off? This is your turn to rant about anything at all that you find annoying. That actually felt kind of good. ; )

Anipal Photo Hunt #8: I'm With the Band!

This week's Anipal Photo Hunt blog-hop is 'I'm With the Band.' This is one of mom's favorite pics and Jazzy likes it too, though she doesn't like me posting it cause the girls end up using it as screensavers. Guess they like the way my jeans fit...  ; )

MY LESS ADOPTABLE PET WAS ADOPTED!!

Boomer the cat is a long hair five year old neutered male black tabby who's been living at the Los Angeles East Valley Animal Shelter since July. His time was running out.

My mom made this cartoon portrait of him to try to get people to notice him. We think he looks like the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.

Good news! Boomer was adopted this week! The shelter actually changed his name to Phoenix, so I had a hard time getting the correct info. I guess it was a good idea because while Boomer didn't get adopted in three months, Phoenix was adopted in two days! Someone was thinking outside the litter box again.  ; )

 

So congratulations, Boomer Phoenix Cheshire Cat, on finding your forever home! We wish you and your new family all the best.

2.  Go back to my ANIPAL PHOTO HUNT Week #__ blog post for the current week at http://www.cokiethecat.com.   At the bottom of the post, it will say This is a Blog Hop! __ entries so far... you're next! Then there will be a list of links of participants, and below that it will say You are next... Click here to enterWhat is a blog hop? Get the code here...
   Click where it saysClick here to enter. 
3. Enter the name of  your blog - or just your name on the Linky Entry Form -i.e.  Cokie the Cat: Hollywood Insider or Cokie, and under Link, put the URL address of your post or your blog: http://www.cokiethecat.com, http://cokiethecat.blogspot.com, etc. Hit the Enter Your Link button.
4. Click to go back to the original post. Now your link should be the last on the numbered list of participants.At this point you can skip straight to #6, or, if you want to know how to get enter HTML code into your blog post, so all the blog hoppers will be linked to your page, this is what you do: 
5.  Go back to Cokie's blog with the list of links of participants, and below where it says, "You are next... Click here to enter" and "What is a blog hop? Get the code here..." Click where it says, "Get the code." A window will open up with an HTML code in it. Highlight and copy that code. Go back to your blog and find the page to edit you latest post. Once you are in editing mode for your last post, at the top of the post it should give you the option to hit an HTML tab. Click on that tab. Either at the top or the bottom of all of that HTML code, paste the code you copied from the "Get the code" page. Hit the PUBLISH button. Hit VIEW BLOG and you should see all the other bloghoppers on your blog post!
6.  BLOG HOP!! Finally! Go to each link on the list and check out their pics. Check out the rest of their blogs, too. Leave comments on things you like. 'Follow' them. Sign their guest books. Anipal Photo Hunt #1: YOU LOOKIN' AT ME?? *FINAL*

 The Founding Members of The Anipal Photo Hunt ! 

Our prize winner for Week #1 was Riley @ri_guy (top left) - in that he was the first to figure out my complicated & confusing instructions and follow them completely! I promised they'll be more clear for this week's hunt! Week #2's theme will be posted later today.

Inspired by Blog Carnivals, Wordless Wednesdays, The Saturday Pet Blog Hop and The Saturday PhotoHunt, which encourage us to blog more frequently, get to know one another better, make new friends, and increase our followers, I’m taking a stab at creating The Anipal Photo Hunt. 

I tried to set it up like the Saturday PhotoHunt, but that didn't work out so well for me. Instead, I've gone with the Linky Blog Hop plan...

Join the Anipal Photo Hunt in 3 easy steps:
(It looks more complicated than it is. It really is easy!)

1. Each Sunday I’ll post the theme for that week’s Anipal Photo Hunt on my blog at http://www.cokiethecat.com.

2. You (anipals) post a photo featuring YOU on your own blog, along with the subject: ANIPAL PHOTO HUNT: (and that week’s theme). They can be new photos, old photos, Photoshopped photos… as long as they’re your photos.

3. Come back to my website and click the "Click here to enter" link at the bottom of that week's Anipal Photo Hunt post. If you like, you can also enter the Linky code, and have all the participants' links on your post!
